I am sure you will all think I am nuts
or mistaken but It was him.
I noticed him on the first day of our
cruise on the top open air deck and
thought wow that looks like him but
thought no cant be...no big deal. He was
with one other slightly younger
jentleman just wandering around.
3 day later we were in the elevator when
he and another guy walked on. As soon as
the doors closed I said "do you guys
know who warren buffet is? Because this
guy looks allot like em" The old guy
warren says "I get that compliment
allot" the other guy with him says "no
this is his brother" I say "o your the
farmer" the younger guy then says "no he
died in november" then he says something
about free seethies candies samples the
lift opens and they walk off. As the
door shuts the younger guy says "I am
surprised he even nows who warren buffet
is.
The next day my wife spotted him in a
lounge area and he spotted us.. he was
sitting alone and we walked past and my
wife saw him watching us pass out of the
corner of his eye. We decided to circle
around my wife left and I walked up to
him and asked if I could join him, he
says sure. We talked for 15 minutes. I
asked him if he was enjoying his cruise
he said yes and I asked if this was his
first cruise (very dumb question) he
says no ...lots of times. He asks me I
say no first cruise and we chat about
the next cruise I booked. He askes me
about crops and cattle I grow and about
my stock portfolio. He recommends
investing in Florida. He also asks
about my I phone and what I use to
follow and watch stocks. After 10
minutes of chatting there is absolutely
no more of me denying its him...we chat
another 5 minutes about stock and asks
me if I am going too buy some Berkshire
stock I say yes B shares..smiles all
around. My wife shows up and he gets up
and offers her his chair, I jump up and
say nice meeting you...he says you too.
We shake hands and he walks off.
The next evening we spot him with 1 or 2
others browsing in an area they sell you
photos of you doing activities. I tell
the wife lets try and get a photo..she
pulls out her I phone and quicky a guy
walks up and says groughly "can I help
you find your photos?" We say no were ok
and he doesnt leave. Then another
security lady stands with him and they
are doing allot of fast talking...we
quickly leave.
A cruise ship is a safe environment for
a guy like that. 3 levels of security to
get on the boat and once underway no one
gets on or off. Also security knows
everyone on that boat. An experience I
will never forget.
