Pars: where I am, my temp gauge only reads about 5.8 degrees with strong winds driving the rain. Hardly swim suit weather, are you feeling adventurous or haven't come off your #146 high yet?

Quite adventurous; hence the rubber boots so my
heels don't cool off. ;~D It is still raining hard.
Cold. Windy. No #146 replays b/c no satellite
reception. No sun. 4G inservice, tho.

This wet weather - shades od the fifties. Some of
you are too young to remember riding on the
tractor fender to get to school. Nothing but lakes
            from Lewvan east past Gray.

Even in the sixties the ground was moving with
            salamanders.

Many in this area have said the same thing that
this is the 50s revisited. My father often said that
gophers were a problem in the 1950s as well and
then along came the rain and washed them
completely away after a few years. It seems to be
happening all over again as we have hardly seen
a gopher all spring here in south central sask.
Aproaching 10 inches since April 1. Crop is all
seeded but sloughs are forming fast

Mile and a half to the gravel highway in the 50's was NOT passable here.
Needed a tractor and cart across the fields to get to the car at the neighbors.
NOT so good old days better not return!
