Farmahaolic, yes that is one way to feel better.
The "jealous" neighbor will always contribute his
insight. Over time, I realize most often they are
    usually saying something about my/others'
operations because they need to know or have
not figured it out, or usually the same thing is
happening on their farm. Around here they are the
most successful farmers. Not well educated, but
street smart, they have to know what everyone is
doing so they can either act on it by writing a
cheque, or bitch about how they were not
informed, because they "would have" acted . It
was a very successful recipe for generations.
Everything has changed, they are wealthy, but the
gig is up and they are not regarded too, much by
the community anymore. But, that's ok, they are
still wealthy and still blather on !

Grass farmer please continue to encourage your
last post. I should have said, generally speaking,
Canadian citizens....... There is a market and a
respectable living growing an AG product that
someone wants. This may mean raising sheep
and goats for an ethnic group, or farmgating beef,
or...place business idea here...selling out every
year and making plenty of money to sustain a
family and show profit. Supply a demand. I know
Parsley would say, you will also make lifelong
friends with your customers. It doesn't sound like
much, but not everyone is going to farm mega
acres and they don't have to.

Sounds like generally from foam lake to
tisdale, not as much west of this, and not
sure how much in Canora etc.

FJ, I heard an unconfirmed amount of 18
bloody inches in Kelvington. Is that true?
              Sheesh!

Holy cow! Environment Canada has confirmed
Kelvington got 45 cm of wet snow, or 18
inches! Here I thought 12-14 was nasty...

                WOW!!!

1/2 inch rain up to GoodFriday morning
then friday night all hell broke loose.
Not quite a foot of snow but yes we also
got snow. Funny regina its almost gone yet
get half way to valley and it hits.
Yea, I also didnt do the top up because it
just didnt seem like the patern was
changing. Very dry winter compared to
normal. Oh well you live and learn. But a
April 30th makes sence not March.

Klause, could you please show them how it is supposed to be done!!!!!
