No, actually the paper didn't say he was incorrect in
his writing - someone from AESO (Alberta Electric
System Operator) wrote a letter claiming he gave
incorrect information. Would you trust a fox to tell
you how many chickens were left in the coop he was
    "looking after" for you?

This is just Ted getting the "jump" on Cupid with a pre-emptive strike. He was shooting at Alberta rats, and hit a few bunnies!

If it was Australia, they would have released a plague to thin the rabbit herd. Too many EARS and they become pests.

        Oh, u don't want post here. I don't know
how do post here from paper, allright.
Look oil company, these company ie:
(Suncor) they has shareholder and hardly
not much or not likely babble regards
how high oil goes and NFU or like here
not babble this company even it is dirty
oil but to shareholders all they care
is money right. Same go electricity and
        they become company and become
shareholder of that company. True we
cant do nothing that stock company. They
treat same stock company. Joe writing is
incorrect as paper say I have to
disagree with u. It is not free. Come
on. It is money, money, money and
electicity is not free as Joe saying.
        Good try but not.

          That's a redundant argument - it's not about $0
electricity and whether it exists - it obviously does
and the AESO letter you mentioned contains the
          proof.

"Approximately 6,000 to 7,000 MW of the 13,866
MW of generation available on Alberta’s electric
system offers in at $0. In a clearing price model,
contrary to the assertions of Mr. Anglin, this does
not mean that those generators want to give their
energy away for free. There are costs to producing
the energy (capital for construction and
maintenance, salaries and fuel costs); and
generators need to see a return on that investment.
What it does mean is that they are willing to be price
takers: it is important to them, for a variety of
reasons, to produce that energy in that hour and
they are willing to accept whatever price the market
sets. This includes taking the risk that on very rare
occasions, the hourly price may actually settle at $0,
and then that is what they get paid for their
production in that hour. This was in fact the case six
          times in 2011."

Joe is not saying we should be getting $0 electricity,
but that the electricity we are getting is way too
expensive because of the price fixing antics of the
          operators.
An example was the TransAlta Corp. admission in
November that they manipulated prices in Alberta
forcing consumers to pay an extra $5.5 million for
electricity. Unbelievably they then got to set their
own penalty for this offence - a paltry $370,000.
All under the "watch" of AESO.
Last I heard AESO were seeking a court judgment to
limit the public’s right to attend rate increase
          hearings.

Thanks for part post. But where the
rest. That part free electricity power
is somewhat meaning wanting to give
away. Same meaning. Free electricity to
me and why babble all fuss about
            electricity company or stock company
that paying salary, fuel and so on. Same
with other stock company on list. Yet
Joe is incorrect in his writing.

The mess that the PCers caused by the electricity de-regulation should be reason enough alone to vote these twits OUT. People are still boiling mad...we have the second highest electricity rates in North America and our vehicle insurance rates are close to the highest as well.

How about asking gov't rebate for
electricity as natural gas do when gas
shot over 5.00 and similar diesel
rebate. U should have bought that
                    electricity company shareholder.
