Coleville: Maybe it has more to do with our needs at different times in our lives:
    0--20--socialist
    21-40--morphing to capitalist
    41-60--CAPITAList
    61-80--morphing back to socialist
    80-death--socialist

      farmaholic,
I find your philosophical metamorphosis very
fascinating ; the way you now view the world life-
changing, as you move from relying on the
collective way of decision- making to self-reliant
      decision making.

Is there any one particular influence that caused
you to believe in yourself; in becoming your own
      decision-maker?

Forgive me for being curious, but it really is a life-
changing decision when you turn to self-reliance.

I am very impressed by your decision; but also
want to fully understand the process that led you
to fall off the fence. This is book material LOL
      Wow! Pars

"I can make my own mistakes."

That's a eureka, isn't it! Why come to that
        conclusion at that moment?

Just a bolt out of the blue? An article? The wife?
The banker? Or a kidlet? A dream? Just so
        damn curious, Pars

Pars, please don't call me him, lol, seriously you scare me

If we could swap to federal to private,ax the crap, change some letter heads and go baby
go,you seriously need to forget about the past, its gone, the board is everyone who ever
existed as a western canadian farmer, our great, great forefathers, to the toddlers at the
feet of our tractors today,it doesn't need to die,it is not a few burricraticale bubble
          heads.

The mechanism that PEOPLE LIKE CHARLIEP AND LARRY WEBER understand NEEDS TO BE
IN PLACE_I DEFY YOU BOTH TO DISAGREE

On the more serious note is "brokerage service"-this is free open market capitalism.

Farmer's can pool and sell grain, other farmers can sell their own grain.

AND CAN YOU GUYS FINALLY COME TO GRIPS WITH THE FACT A BUSHEL OF WHEAT HAS
THE SAME /ratio/PRICE AS A BARREL OF OIL ON THIS ****ING PLANET_THEY ARE
EXCHANGED IN US ****ING DOLLARS-can we please all except this as fact? to speed
things up and keep up with reality?

            A Real Life Fairy Tale;

Being on the socialist side of the fence is like living with family in real life, you're taken care of(or thought you were in the case of the Board). As I got older I could hear what was going on on the other side, capitalist side, of the fence and wanted to see. In doing so, I climbed onto the fence so I could see for myself. While I was up there I had the chance to make afew choices on my own and found that I was capable of making my own decisions with acceptable results and likely better than when others made them for me. Then knowing I was able to decide for myself what I wanted to do, I no longer wanted to live on the socialist side of the fence under the control of others. Once on the capitalist side, I decided for myself when and what I wanted to do. I found the harder and smarter I worked the more it benefited me. In comparison to real life becoming capitalist minded is like growing up and leaving home..... and lived happily ever after.

              My 2 cents.
I was always to the right side of the fence. I gave up giving a damn and got on the fence to rest. Then a dodo bird filled my ear with such guano I got top heavy and fell hard off the fence.
Collaborative divorces work when, a) both parties are reasonable,b)both parties are broke, or c) one party writes a big friggin' check!

Sorry people, this is not a divorce. The CWB does not have the same rights and responsibilities as the federal government whereby this is a partnership of decisions going forward. Pretty sure the friends of CWB will be learning that shortly.

The CWB is like the car in the driveway within a divorce. Just a line item. Something to be bargained with, that is all.

Owning cats. I don't think so! It's the other way around. They look on you as a food source. If you keel over, they still look at you as a food source. They don't even care if you are ugly. (lol)

If my cat eats ten of the neighbor's chickens, I
indeed own him. And I am responsible for him
even if he views me as appetizingly ugly.

                      That is fair.

It's called property rights, checking. And with
                      them MUST come responsibilities. Pars
