Actually if they refuse to offer a B or a guaranteed delivery contract with price attatched after friday, then we should have an open market purchaser availlable to us immediately. Is this something we should be to our elected gov't about? I think so, lets steam roll this cwb. Wheat growers what about it?

To all, this irrisponsible act by the CWB should not go overlooked. A farmer realizing an extra 5000 bushels on monday should be able to sell that grain in this crop year. It could come from a miscalculation, maybe a niehbour was asking for planting seed and pulled out. Whatever. Seed growers will have no market for unsold certified seed. All this dumping of good grain into the local feed system is completely driving me up the wall.

Well we are fortunate to have strong local feed prices in fact all of mine is going to the feed mill. That is not the point. We currently have a monopoly seller of our grain that we are forced to deal with that is pulling out of taking offer of our grain.

I agree Hopperbin. I sent an email to the Ritz and Anderson asking for the opportunity to sell into the open market as soon as the Bill passes. I don't think it will happen, but I had to ask.
