Chinese bought alot of land and now buying houses and business. Was told new rules in China coming up later this year that will make it harder for Chinese to get their money out of China. Was also told they plan on moving here and farming. Time will tell how things really turn out. I am neutral on the subject.

Is it fair that we are allowed to own their natural
              resources?

And the average one of us is 100 times richer?

I don't like it either, but lets all play by some fair rules
              and let the chips fall.

No real worries here, its only money, right? I am so far "behind" most guys who post here, financially at least, that when my portfolio is mini, my loss is mini. Also, I know how, and raise lots of my own food, chickens, beef, eggs, garden, so we are quite self sustaining if and when the snot hits the fan!!!

Freewheat, you are a rare bird. My son believes
that self sufficiency is the only way we are going
to survive the impending crash. Hope he is
                  wrong.

Some good points made in this post. I don't agree with foreign ownership if it is simply an investment for them but if they are willing to come here and farm like my family did over 126 years ago I welcome them. In some areas of the West there isn't enough people willing to farm to replace those that are and will retire in the near future. If it helps maintain the price of land, that matters to me, but remember they have to farm it. My land is an invest to me and I want to most for it as possible if that means a farming foreigner buys it--so be it.
