      Fransisco,

Sounds almost as crazy as 'designated area' wheat growers being thrown in jail for trying to sell for a better price than the CWB offers!

Is there a 'Borg' mother ship... floating around on the dark side of the moon?

          Fransisco,

The 'single desk' would be proud!

          Here is an article:

HOW DO YOU like them apples? Or lemons in this case as police in US state of Georgia shut down an ‘illegal’ lemonade stand run by three young girls trying to save up for a trip to a water park.

AP reports that the three girls were forced to shut down their little enterprise after police in the town of Midway said they didn’t have a business licence or the required permits.

Police also said that it was not known how the lemonade was made, who made it or what was in it. (Lemons, probably)

The three girls had been operating for one day when Midway police chief Kelly Morningstar and another officer cruised by, and informed the girls they needed a business licence, a peddler’s permit and a food permit to operate, even on residential property.

Such permits cost around $50 a day and another $180 per year.

One of the girls, 14-year-old Casity Dixon told local station WJCL: “It’s kind of crazy that we couldn’t sell lemonade. It was fun, but we had to listen to the cops and shut it down.”

It will also ensure that all "non lemonade board" drinks get a higher price too !

They should give it away and have a tip jar. Wonder if that would work for my wheat?

                      WD9,

Jim Chatenay gave his sack of barley to the 4-H club in Montana... still there was jail time... after the trial judge said it was a political act... the appeal judge reversed the decision and sent him to jail!

Justice and the CWB. Now the CWB is very friendly with the CDN railways... I suppose the self interest of both is the CWB 'single desk' gives CDN railways a monopoly on our 'designated area' grain as well!
