No wonder Stephen Harper has to build more jails, because all the farmers flocking to the U.S. to get less than the CWB gets them on the FPC.

I want it either gone or at least option for out, but if someone did not seed this year and likely will not seed next year, or seeded this year and next to nothing for crop and seed next year and next to nothing for crop is it really gonna be more important the CWB be gone or there be a program to see you through to the year after? Where we are I think most are gonna not vote at all. So you vote for someone filling your head with the dream that they will fight for what? make what better? the idea that you cannot sell where and how you want, will they change that for you? no they will be on the gravy train board and do you think they will want to get rid of the gravy once they are on it?
Even if they got rid of it with higher prices do we not think fertilizer, fuel, seed, chemical etc and all the other leaches won't have their nerds figuring out how to get it out of us.
As much as the principle stinks,
the CWB is not our main problem, the fact that there is no vision for how farmers will get more percent of the pie is the problem, the fact that there is no workable program for the amount of risk taken to get our share of the pie is the problems!!!!
That darkness that most of you see it's not the winter's early evening it's the wool over your eye lids, wake up!

OK Rider...what's your vision as you seem to think we are all blind. My guess is that you want to go to crop insurance, pay a relatively small premium and have all risk taken out of the picture on your farm eg. Yield guarantee to 40 bu/ac on canola & 45 on wheat with a price guarantee at $9 & $7/ac. That should just about do it on the gross side of the equation as two of the major crops have a minimum of $300/ac. Should be a nice healthy profit and all weather risk is taken out such as frost, drought, too wet, hell, even bad management but wait...those dreaded companies would see that guaranteed gross and then inputs would move up to grab most of that farmer profit. The truckers would charge more for hauling, damn neighbours would bid up rent or land prices as they want to get more so in the end, the farmer is no better off....but wait, we can just ask the government to put in price controls on all inputs and limit farm size growth per year. Now I have utopia but wait...the government is paying out all this money so they begin demanding all these environmental improvements that the green lobby has been asking for eg. now you have to get a permit to spray, anything that has the potential to leak has to have an impermable layer underneath and a berm around it and the list goes on. I guess this would make some happy but I don't want to farm like this so I think I'll stay blind to the hell of capitalism.

"do we not think fertilizer, fuel, seed, chemical etc and all the other leaches won't have their nerds figuring out how to get it.."
You think of yourself as a victim!
Go back and read.
Only one of the entities you deal with is a legislated body. Only one entity can put you in jail for selling what you grow. Only one entity is the sole milling wheat game in town.
Can you pick out the one entitiy that will not give a tinker's damn if you walk out and slam the door, because they know full well you will be forced to return, crawling on your knees, if you ever want to plant wheat again?
So.......which entity should you focus on to make changes to, that will most benefit your bottom line?
