OK, I'll try again. Why do some farmers (Church, that's you and your colleagues) think it's OK to tell me how I must manage my business? I have no desire, nor do I think I have the right, to compel you to manage your farm in any particular way. Even if I believed that collective marketing has merit and brings me some increased value, should I be able to compel you to market collectively with me?

Maybe I’m wrong or missing something, but it won’t help me understand if you answer with nothing but a cryptic slogan or wise crack. To really understand the thinking behind this position, it would help me, and others I suspect, to have a well reasoned and rational answer.

Grain growers (as Stewie/Ralph/NFU define them)have protected the CWB.
CONTROL OF THE FOOD SUPPLY is #1 for the CFA.

And grain growers grow a big chunk of the food supply for livestock and supply management producers.

THERE IS A HUGE CONFLICT OF INTEREST HERE.

THE SIMPLE FACT THAT MANY LANDOWNERS WILL GET 2 OR 3 BALLOTS TO VOTE THIS FALL IN THE CWB ELECTIONS... TELLS THE GOODALE STORY.

Last night I was told by a landowner... it has already started with mail notification of multi-participation eligibility from the CWB.

THIS ISN'T ABOUT COMMERCIAL GRAIN GROWERS WHO MAKE THEIR REAL LIVING FROM GRAIN.

THIS IS ABOUT 'FOOD POLITICS' and power to control the food supply.

The last feed barley 'cash' GDC is proof. About a buck a bushel pooled... even though it was supposed to be cash.

Blame Goodale and the Liberals... they set it up this way in 1998.

The courts say we have no property rights... even though the Canadian Bill of Rights is a law that says we do in application of Federal Legislation just the same/valid as the CWB Act.

The Courts, Liberals, and non-commercial grain growers decide what the CWB does. NOT ME. The CWB will not send me a ballot... even though they absolutely know I commercially grow grain/wheat in District 1.

If anyone thinks this has anything to do with 'democracy'... they should think again.

So a landowner who rents his land out for over a decade gets 2 ballots...

And our farm that commercially grows grain on over 3000ac in District 1 does not get a ballot. Not 1 ballot.

Tom Tom Tom I don't know why you keep blaming Goodale and company. They are just like their liberal ag polices, old, out dated, not attracting any attention or interest.
You have to get up to speed Tom, you should be pointing your finger at your buddy, Mr Harper and his gang. They've made lots of promises, have had lots of time and opportunity to address this cwb issue. There is only one problem they just don't give a rat's ass.

Tipsy, you are so correct. If the C, but don't do anything party, had wanted to legislate an end to this issue, it had plenty of time to act against a weak opposition that would never have called for an election based on such a piddling matter for the bulk of Canada's population.

Obtaining ballots are not the issue. Electing directors to the CWB is not the issue. Both are wasteful distractions. This is a jobs issue, and the only solution is a CWB job buyout lucrative enough to get our wheat and barley controllers on our side to be asking their MPs to accept the offer.

If you decide to grow conventional canola instead of GM no one throws you in jail. Same for corn, soybeans and any other crop. If you sell your wheat to someone other than the government(CWB)they do. That is a big, big difference.

Oh yeah those poor saps stuck in the open market are really getting screwed.
