40mm Wadena north, we are very wet. Still have some old snow after all this rain! We needed 3 weeks dry weather before this. Better rain where it's needed, NONE here till June. Must be awful at Hodgins today, Melfort had 71mm till midnight.

10 to 15mm Beechy area. We could really use that 71, send any extra our way. Matador pasture talking 33% cuts and short season due to no runoff.

Got about 2 inches too much. Again this country has not let us down. Creeks running fuller than they did at runoff time. Looking forward to some heat. Hard where I'm sitting to imagine needing rain. I hope you all get what you need. I wish we could get a dryish year for once. Seriously. Should move the farm to humboldt or something. Maybe Kamsack, I hear they've had 10 good years in a row...
Neigbor got stuck on road with semi yesterday, then slid into the ditch. Tractor in one ditch, trailer on the other, and front trailer kinda on the road. Needed a trackhoe, and 2 4wd's to get out. I swear our little corner is an anomoly. Has been too wet for too $%^#@ long.

I take issue with that being a million dollar moisture event, unless you're referring to any possible wind damage that came with it. What it was, was the least expensive element of farming. The billion minus minus event comes next, from which the suppliers extract their pound of profit for the year. What part of the smiling faces crowd indicate where their shares are assured, the risk and hope part?

Farmers now have possibility of making a millon (maybe), but suppliers now will make billons.
