Cost of organic grain

A couple of points:

1. Rotation is a requirement by most certifying bodies, gregpet. Plowdowns are common. Rotation is practiced. Organic fertilizers are used. Composting is practiced.

2. China? Tibet/Japan/ have been growing crops for centuries and continue to produce food.

But are organic crops nutritionally beneficial?

I think that happens every day and most choose GMO/conventionally grown.

To the average consumer GMO and conventional will not mean the same thing.

Organics are always clearly marked so choose is the right word.

Would everyone choose organic food to eat and let 1/3 of the world population starve? That is not an opionion that is a mathematical fact.

i think organic farming has always been more of a food safety marketing strategy than a sustainability tool. you're still pulling a thousand or two thousand pounds per acre out of the soil. the nitrogen can be taken out of the air but other nutrients will be depleted.
