I don't know about everyone else here, but I can sure identify with their problems. And I'm pretty sure they chipped in and stuck up for us back when BSE hit, so I'm thinking it would be a good thing for us to step up and support them now.
Besides... I think we can all agree that the last thing the beef market needs right now is a glut of cheap pork. It's in our best interests as well as theirs that something be done. Who knows, maybe if the government hears enough complaints from enough different sectors they might just get off their duffs and come up with a safety net program that's worth more than a kick in the bum.
