I am looking to employ a friend this summer on a
casual basis (@1 day a week) mainly to help with
maintenance, fence repairs, possibly some tractor
work. Just wondering what a reasonable hourly rate
would be? Labor only - I'll be supplying tools,
machinery etc.
We've worked together before and he is just excellent
- hard worker and punctual. I'm not having to
compete to get him as he isn't looking for any other
jobs - we both see this as a mutually beneficial
opportunity.
I worry about paying him too little and he is afraid of
me paying him too much.
