    GRAIN POOL COULD BENEFIT PRODUCERS

NDSU economists say U.S.-Canada relationship may increase returns for growers on both sides of the border

FARGO, N.D. -- A voluntary grain marketing pool for durum and hard red spring wheat produced in the United States and Canada could increase returns for both U.S. and Canadian producers, according to a game theory model developed by agricultural economists at North Dakota State University in Fargo.

NOW WHAT DOES THIS IMPLY ABOUT CWB MARKET POWER TODAY?

I see this and the ITC hearing presentations of the CWB as a confirmation that US growers, and any other wheat grower in the world with Hard Red Spring Wheat, compete directly with the CWB to supply hard red spring wheat. In turn this stops the CWB from any benefit that may arise from the CWB’s supposed “single desk”.

The product differentiation that may separate Canadian and US wheat through the two different grading systems has been virtually eliminated. Many of our International buyers order wheat to their own specs, with the same minimum standards applicable from whatever country they originate the wheat they are looking to buy.

Any US grower can access Canadian varieties and grow our special quality, if there is an economic benefit to changing to the Canadian quality of wheat!

As the CWB forces us out of the international wheat market, (our Canadian gov. calls it value adding) it will be even more important for Canadian growers to work with the US growers to provide the quality and quantity of grain needed for our international grain customers!

The CWB must stop trying to brainwash “designated area” grain producers into believing the absurd. Our time and money is much too valuable to be wasted on communist theories that have failed in every other country in the world!

How about it CWB, isn’t it time to come clean?

We already have a grain pool, the CWB. Unfortunately this fact hasnt entered your warped thinking. The Americans have pools called ADM and Cargill , too bad for them they don't receive the benefits.

      Agstar77,

The word voluntary, what does this mean to you?

Isn't love freely given appreciated and cherished?

When self-gratification becomes stronger than love, and forces a relationship into hurting, then what is the next solution?
