    Seeding report ...

    SW Sask going in areas
I would imagine far southern Alberta
Talk locally is possibly next week on lighter and / or well drained soils .
We will be a while yet ....

Water for the most part done running , but these stubborn snow banks still around yardsites , treelines and fence rows .
Out in the open fields it’s drying up and small potholes shrinking fast but need time yet here .

red river valley is going. nice conditions, back roads are firm. will need rain for even germination though. no sub soil moisture reserves.

Same situation around here Furrow. Need another week to dry up the tree rows and water runs. Potholes are shrinking with this wind we have had. Sounds like some rain Monday so might even things out if it happens.

Still have snow on half of the back roads .
Will be interesting when we do get rolling.
Seen it before , 2013 we had far far more water and snow this time of year.
As of now seeding will be closer to normal though than anyone thought possible 10 days ago , so it’s all good .
We all will get er done one way or the other .

I heard guys are going north of Indian head.

Really drying up east of Regina. Back to hoping for rain.

Cracks in ground that I thought for sure would be closed up in fact are still ankle twisters....wow!!

This was yesterday. STill, snow on some back roads but it is going. One I take a shortcut was finally open but you have to do some twists as you take it.

            Cranes moving north.

            Snow geese are here.

            Reserve is burning bright.

Seeding maybe peas by next Friday but my date of Monday the 7th is looking more and more like start date.

Valley is cut off Southside the usuals are seeding. Hell last year when I started he was halfway done.

Rain and snow Monday. Could prove interesting.

Reality is 15 in of snow really did piss all to the ground moisture in some areas.

We went from a foot of snow to driving in fields with a truck in 6 days. Didnt think that was possible . When the snow went grass was green same day . She is very dry under there . Gonna need a lot more rain than we had last year to grow a crop . But this sure is nice in the meantime

Culverts running full bore..we still have 200 acres under water..no need for rain on our farm for quite awhile.
Will let the rain Gods know when.

Maybe we need a water pipe line going south?
