The government is allowing them to do as they please. With an essential service and considering the outright gifts they receive/d from Canada, they have a responsibility to act in the good of the country - but they don’t because no one holds them responsible for the damage to the economy caused by their rotten performance.

Marc garneau has repeatedly said he has been talking to railways....apparently too ****ing stupid to ask about labour relations.....

It pretty much goes without saying about MacAulay.

You have to wonder why CP needs management.....if they can't move commodities the government has to step in.



if they can't get a contract signed ...they have to ask the government to step in....


It might as well be a crown corporation since the government does the heavy lifting for management.

Seems odd that management fights the government to get exports moving through the country then asks them for help on a labour dispute....

Even stranger is the fact that government can force workers to work but can't force the railways management to do SFA...

The contract didn't just show up yesterday ...they had been working on it for a while....government should have been way ahead of this .....given the current shipping problems ...a long time ago.
