Volvo Argentina focuses on providing a comprehensive range of transportation solutions with the aim of providing its customers with a product and service adapted to their needs in order to maximize the profitability of their business. On this occasion, the Volvo Group together with the concessionaire of the city of Córdoba, Latinacam, expand the range of services and present the first point with night service to carry out workshop services.
Faced with a new demand from customers, who for their logistics operations require maintenance and repair at times in which the productivity of their units is not affected, this new offer of exclusive service and adapted to the customer.
"The goal of Volvo is to provide customers with the best transportation solution in the market. We focus on being close to the client, understanding their needs and adapting our service to them. Expanding the hours of service is part of the adaptation to the new demands of the transport operation itself in order to increase the availability and productivity of the units and we are constantly developing services for this "explains Gabriel Angulo, Volvo Group After Sales Manager Argentina.
The night workshop consists of the maintenance and repair service provided under the maintenance contract offered by the brand, from 5.30 to 24.00 hours at the dealer's premises. Previously programmed, with the appropriate maintenance personnel and the necessary instruments and spare parts, an exclusive service is offered for the attention of clients under this modality, which allows to speed up the review times, minimize the time of detention of the unit and guarantee the maximum availability to continue operating.
"We understood the increasingly demanding and demanding needs of our customers, so we decided to extend the workshop shift until 24:00 hs in order to provide a service according to the needs of cargo carriers. In this way, during the day the truck travels and kilometers and during the night, while the driver rests, preventive maintenance is carried out. This not only adds value as a company, but also allows the carrier to get the most out of it and operational availability of the unit, which translates directly into an economic benefit, "explains Sebastián Lopez, General Manager of Latinacam, Volvo's official dealer in Cordova.
Under the Gold maintenance contract, the client pays a cost per km traveled and the dealer deals with the attention and repair of the units, eliminating completely the maintenance management for the client and ensuring that the units have the highest availability.
Carlos García, president of Grupo Rigar, a transport company that uses this service, comments: "The decision to use this service is to dedicate our time to our main objective, which is to provide the best service to our customers and leave the specialists the maintenance of our fleet. "
The town of Córdoba is the first point to offer this service extended hours, but the brand is already preparing the launch of two new points in the coming months, with the potential to continue increasing according to demand.
"In addition to the night service, as part of the extension of the services, Volvo is implementing 5 new points of Check & Go service, a fast service of preventive maintenance, oil change and filters in 60 minutes and without unhooking, in the main corridors of the country . We are expanding our attention and always looking for our customers to achieve the lowest cost per kilometer possible "concludes Gabriel Angulo.

Agreed. Hopper traffic just wasn't particularly conducive to it Reply With Quote
Feb 4, 2018 | 09:10 5 I don't know if they still do because it isn't as busy but when I used to work around Fort Nelson you could walk into a truck shop, Wajax, Finning most heavy equipment shops all the way from Grande Prairie to Fort Nelson just about any time and there would be someone there for parts and service.
