Big wheel the answer to your question lies in Greece.

Sing Dance Drink Eat and Party, work 6 months and pile on the debt. Holliday the next 6 months and eat drink and dance and party. Finally the wheels fell off and guess what they were broke as broke.

    Canada in 15 years.

Canuckistan is a socialist country and will be until the day it dies. Unfortunately its death will be like Venezuela not Greece. Greece has not died yet due to one reason: it does not print it own currency. Canuckistan prints the loon, and that is why Venezuela is the end game. To those under 35: start researching US immigration because you will be holding the bag when the ship sinks.

It's pretty plain to see that voters weren't impressed with Smiling Harper 2.0 (Scheer) . They see that he is so much like Closet Boy that they punished Findlay one of Harper's ex-MP in a B.C. Conservative strong hold.

If the Conservatives can't win their strong holds, they are in BIG trouble. There has to be a reason for that, and it's obviously Scheer and the after taste of Harper

So you guy's can bash Trudeau all you want and ridicule anybody for voting for Trudeau but the bottom line is Scheer is not a better alternative and a big dud.

Sending Trudeau to negotiations with China (or anyone, anywhere) is like sending a hairdresser to do brain surgery - they both work on heads, you know?

And that buffoonish "minister responsible for weather", climate barbie, is as helpful as dragging anchor in a regatta...

Having that kind of people in government speaks sad volumes of those who elect them. That the Liberals got any seats is a profound shame on our society.
Right, definitely was soft from what I’ve seen/heard. I agree with the progressive approach in a lot of areas but not trade, and not with China. Hopefully he is able to adjust.

I would agree partially with your assessment - that Sheer may well prove to be a dud. Even so, he is a better alternative than the sock puppet boy.

Harper still gets under your skin - that's funny, LOL!

Stephen Harper was widely recognized as a statesman and commanded respect around the world.

The drama teacher has been exposed for what he is and the Chinese called his bluff. What does that say about your type who have basically turned sock puppet boy into a deity? You have placed an empty suit at the head of the country.

Liberals - the party of floating airheads.

Gee I wonder what Quebec has been spending its $11 billion equalization gift from the ROC on?

                Oh look here!

I wonder who is getting all this debt servicing money?
Is it being kept in Canada or is it all being sent out of the country?
                Curious people want to know.

It would be interesting/scary to learn how much of it is collected by organized crime.

Quebec has a reputation for effective infiltration by mobsters who benefit from about any program going. Farm operations have been a good front for them because Quebec takes care of its farmers.

Byelections are not necessarily an accurate reflection of the grand political will. What it does show is which party has the most apathetic voter base. Those who vote actually give a shit, typically 30% of the population. The remaining percentage who vote in general elections are probably not as politically aware and swayed by flippant things like who has the best hair or who’ll give them the most money. The majority thinks they rule but historically it’s the 20 or 30% that actually give a shit. The American revolution was only supported by 30%. No matter whether it’s socialism or capitalism 20% of the people control 80%. The disparity emerges when the ratio of control drops below 20%.

In Canada rural people are mostly conservative and it looks like their only job is working hard to send money to the urban areas which mostly Liberal.

If you think of that old cartoon with the cow being fed by the west and milked by Quebec and then look at that map of equalization sure looks like the person who drew the cartoon had it bang on.

I guess Closet Boy still gets under a lot of peoples skin based on the results of the by-elections especially, the BC voters which was a Reformer/Alliance/ CPC strong hold. But what do they know, right Burnt!

If Harper was such a great statesman, why didn't he sign a free trade agreement with China? He stated China, is a "burgeoning powerhouse" and that Canada would be less reliant on the USA for a market. Of coarse Harper would say that because, the so call "Statesman" couldn't even get Keystone done. Maybe if Harper would have acted like a statesman rather trying to out power Obama it could have gotten done.

And how many other G-8 countries have signed free trade agreements with China, Burnt?

Actually, I think Canada is better off without a free trade agreement with China.

Wilton the big Trudeau supporters on here should realize very few voted it’s a byelection
NDP got smoked that’s a problem I wish they were stronger to take out liberals.

Oh well two more years and hopefully it’s done

Don’t worry. I think the ndp core didn’t show yesterday. It’s a different time. Old days ndp were diligent voters easily mobilized by the party. Today the party is courting the disaffected low info, or extremists. Trudeau’s shift to the left has deflated their balloon.
