Nov 28, 2017 | 10:15 2 Malt going to China at a good clip. Too bad farmgate values are off this year Reply With Quote
Nov 28, 2017 | 10:48 3 Malt bids are pretty low but still at a premium to feed bids.

Be interesting what this does to acres next year.

More guys jump on the malt bandwagon despite low prices. Reply With Quote
Nov 28, 2017 | 11:12 4 Premiums are poor because there is quality barley in abundance. No issue making the grade
If the samples were being picked apart with the small premiums we have producers would be phoning the feedlots and turning their backs on the malt market
It's a good thing we did harvest quality or there would be no malt export market at all this year Reply With Quote

Yeah from what ive heard its 70% plus acceptance rates on production contracts. Beats the normal 40%-50% acceptance.

Never got into malt but heard its pretty hard to keep quality wise for a long term. Be interesting how much gets carried over and what shape it's in afterwards. Reply With Quote

So the lowest price is the law. Reply With Quote

Pop-Ups and banners are annoying, aren't they? Reply With Quote
