    Flamans Web Site

The folowing is a page from Direktor Flaman's farm website located at www.southvalleyfarm.com. Interesting that Rod encourages visitors to Support Farming - Buy Direct. What???

    This raises a few questions:

    1. Does Rod realize that the monopoly buying does not work for the producer and his attempts to add value and hence profitability to his farm is to sell direct?

    2. Would Rod be better off selling his flax and strawberries through a government controlled marketing agency?

    3. Why are 3 of the 5 grain crops grown non-board crops subject to dealing direct with the evil grain companies. The security of a paycheque does wonders. It is also of no coincidence that one of the main crop crops grown on that other turncoat Ritter's farm is canola. Interesting that the two most prominent individuals who have 'SEEN the LIGHT' rely on non-board grain for profitability and cash-flow. Doesn't the board provide this through their divine guidance?

Typical of these 2 polititions to talk on way and then act the other. Nothing contributes to a persons credibility more than to be elected on one platform and then act on another.

Here's the latest words of wisdom coming from Flaman. Written last week by Flaman.
    Get this!

"Am I a staunch supporter of the CWB as it is today. Certainly not. I don’t believe the pooling system is the right way to share the value of the single desk premiums nor is it the proper way to send price signals to producers. This is simply a business and you can’t let idealogy force you to make the wrong decision. If you want a Director to make stupid decisions then elect a stupid director.

    Rod Flaman"

Now there is a statement. The CWB Act requires the Board to pool, and Flaman doesn't want to follow the CWB Act he is LEGALLY OBLIGATED to follow.

But Flaman forces the buyback by sitting at the Board table denying licenses, and the buyback is NOT MANDATED by the CWB Act.

    Only Flaman.

      Parsley;

Section 39 of the CWB Act allows CWB cash purchasing at any time from anyone anywhere in the universe!

I am sure this option came in handy when the CWB oversold our 2002 crop this summer.

Too bad "designated area" farmers are not the ones the CWB is paying big premium prices to this crop year...

even though the CWB has the legislation to allow cash pricing to the peasants of the "designated area" any time it feels like it.

I believe Rod Flaman is in a real bind... trying to please too many people all at one time...

Kind of like sucking 10 candies in your mouth... all at one time... and trying not to choke!
