Municipal Elections

I am sure everyone is busy haying and not
interested in the fall municipal elections,
however, it is that time again and
hopefully apathy will not elect the
majority of councils across the Province.

That is so true Copper. With any luck more folks will take more of an interest in what is happening. Still to early for any of the regional plans to have an effect and I wonder how much they will motivate folks in the future.

The Land Use Regional Plans are moving
along like turtles. Our area likely
won't be done for another two years.
Our county is in the middle of re-doing
our Municipal Development Plan and three
key Area Structure Plans.
We had some concerns about two of the
ASP's so they are being revamped.
We held four very well advertised Open
Houses and only five people showed up
but now when it has gone to first
reading we get people all up in arms
because they think council is trying to
pull a fast one on them !
