End of the Week Thursday Report and Texas to Canada Observations!

Well lets just say those who think it costs so much to live in the USA and go away from Canada take a trip try it and you will realize they are way cheaper than we are. Prime example wife and i go to McDonalds odd time if were traveling for a quick Burger and Drink and Fries. Nothing special but its a example. They have a program $1 $2 $3 menu. For $3 you get a three patty burger the USA Med drink is $1 and same size as our Large. So we do two burgers and Large fry and two drinks with tax $9.63. Same similar meal in Estavan Mc Yesterday $21.63. Yea were real special. Gas best was $2.10 a Gal.Sixty Six vodka 19.99. Beer 24 Corona $24.99. Just saying we get screwed every day.

Now what has our useless Pm done this week, Well a liberal will never get it. The USA has a shooter go into a school the FBI and Cops screw up but Canada needs better gun laws. Really Ralph just quit before the next election you won't get half your votes. But Stupid is stupid does. Then the BS from Trudeau on his trade trip to India. Others dignitaries have been their in past few weeks the PM has met them in the middle of the night. Then their is our Useless Pulse Growers Board saying bull shit like the trip was worth it lots was accomplished and oh yea India isn't a big buyer so suck it up you stupid farmers and keep producing peas so we can take our cut and you cant even ask for it back. Opened up my mail and sheet is their on what i paid that useless organization. You did not earn one cent.

Sask Budget is coming and me thinks it will have a few surprises but thanks for dropping the useless tax on farm Insurance for crops. It was a stupid move. Sorry brad it was. I think their will be some tweaking on Used cars and trade ins. Maybe a 1% increase in Sales tax.

Big shout out to Saskatchewan for telling Ottawa to shove their Carbon Tax. Watch soon Ontario will vote and Boom their out of the game then Alberta will throw that useless twit out and Boom Their out. Then Manitoba will finally figure it isn't working and drop it to be with the rest. As the idiots fall it will be done and finally Trudeau and his Gun registry 2.0 and Carbon tax and spend spend spend vacation will be done. Bring on 2019.

Now for some fun stuff whats the crop look like.

A young farmer i had coffee with in Munroe (Duck Dynasty worker who farms) said this is the first time they flood fields like the above one with food irrigation then usually wait a week thill it soaks in and drain off excess water. This year he said they flooded and three days later he came back and the field had none left on it. The ground is that dry first time ever.
As you move to Texas it greens up but one thin isn't thats the pastures. They are brown. When you stop the car and take a peak very little spring growth is happening and the wheat is in shot blade so if it stays dry how big will the heads be and will it fill. Dry shrivelled wheat in hot climates looks worse than frost and no weight. Funny thing the guys i talked to said they need rain bad and soon. Next two weeks will tell in Texas.

Oklahoma it started to get no growth in ditches and fields show signs of water shortage as area along trees and hill tops is different green and ground is dry when you stop and look.

Kansas it starts to get serious as we had a fire along the highway in two spots and if the wind would of came up look out.

Now i will say farmers who did winter wheat spray all summer and then winter wheat again direct seeding do have a bit better crop than the guys who did Corn and winter wheat or other and winter wheat. But its dry. Pastures awful.

But snow isn't really much as you move north in SD and ND. On the news in Bismarck the ag show was talking about how dry it is and how the snow isn't even close to normal. they said they need a foot of wet snow to get any reasonable run off. That is one thing that was sure noticed from Dallas north the creeks and rivers were way low and dugouts and ponds almost gone.

Now as you get into Canada more snow but really WTF is what we have really going to achieve except maybe start the crop and then its panic mode.

Estevan crossing. just across the border.

So i say the USA winter wheat is on maybe its 7th life and still has two left. A big system moves in and lots of recovery can happen but with no rain in Texas and Oklahoma in the next two weeks i would say the numbers start to drop. No sub soil moisture. Oh their like Canada one rain away from good and one rain short of bad.

Cowboys are going to have a hard time its ugly in the pastures.

I would say one Bar we stopped at would be 10 white to 90 Blacks it was a fun time. Hey you got to mingle and live a little.

Even at the farm the brother said it started as a nice wet snow and was actually coming down like Flagstaff snow but as it cooled off it became light dry shit and thats what blew two days later.

So moisture wise not much but its a start and we will have min run off.

            Yea.

Look at that dilapidated old grain facility in the above post.....not "good" enough for Canadian standards!

Thanks for the pictures. Keep on posting them. Plenty of snow up our way and I am just hoping that seeding happens before June this way but it has been so cold so not optimistic. Plenty of moisture in western Canuckistan to grow all the grain the railways can haul in a year anyways. Except for health care living costs are way cheaper in the US. It is hard to compare health care insurance cost as US plans include a drug plan and other things that we don't have in Canada.
