I want what I got last year..... see the Input thread.

The best yet is when they tell you to deliver and "stay in the market"..... yup give them the grain AND expect prices to rise after they have it..... **** they must think I'm stupid....well, maybe I am!

I predict Farmaholic averages over $12/bushel for canola. April-July will be the opportunity.

Already can get $11 at most grain companies with "specials" so I'm assuming the 47 bpa average canola on 1" of rain stories are starting to wear thin.

Just an observation on sale at Superstore today a 3L jug of canola oil $3.98 limit of 2. A bushel of canola nets approx 11L of canola oil. So by my calculations they are receiving $14.59 per bushel. That 3L contains 24000 calories enough for a typical adult for 12 days. Foods too damn cheap!

$10.90 here for Oct $11 for Nov. delivery to Cargill. They have been texting premiums for the past 3 weeks, what happens when bin doors get really locked?

Not that I would want to eat it directly, but there is a little bit more to canola price than super store oil content. Average 2017 cdn/tonne canola meal to August was $337.90.

I was expecting the 'special' frenzy in Nov. so it's early...lol.
What's the impact of no NAFTA to canola (and other things)? I read expectations for drastic drop in CND $, so supportive, but a small tariff comes on for canola going to US. Sounds more unlikely lately there will be an agreement. So much canola and canola oil goes south but so many impacts to analyze. Maybe Errol A can help with some insight.

                    Good questions.

We already have a separate US/Canada free trade agreement that Mulroney signed so I'm not sure how that would change goods going to USA?
