Help for the Interactive Tools
How do I turn on Javascript, and why do I need to?
You can test to see if your Javascript is turned on
by clicking here.
If you don't see a dialog box pop up, then you need to
turn on Javascript by following the procedures outlined below.
Javascript is used by many web sites, including
Agriville.com, to provide visitors with a more interactive experience. An
example of Javascript use on this site is the "What's New" box that
pops up on the home page. In most browsers, Javascript is turned on by default,
but if for some reason it is turned off in your browser, then you can use the
procedures below to turn it on.
| In Internet Explorer:
1. Go to the toolbar "Tools", and click on "Internet
Options".
2. Click on the tab labelled "Security".
3. Click on the icon labelled "Internet".
4. Click on the button labelled "Custom Level".
5. Drag the window that opens down close to the bottom, and there
should be the words "Active Scripting". Make sure the circle
beside the "Enable" field is checked. |
In Netscape:
1. Go to the toolbar "Edit", and click on
"Preferences".
2. Click on the "Advanced" field.
3. Make sure the "Enable Javascript" box is checked. |
What are cookies, and how do I enable them?
Cookies are little pieces of information that are
stored on your hard drive by a web site. They allow the web site to keep track
of who you are as you navigate through the site, and can store customized
settings. (i.e. local weather). Cookies cannot contain viruses, and are safe to
have on your computer. This site uses cookies to keep track of your login
information, as well as customized settings on the homepage, such as weather,
stock quotes, etc. To enable cookies, follow the instructions below.

How do I view the What's New Page Correctly?
The What's New page is supposed to pop up whenever a
user visits the homepage, and there is new content to view. If the What's New
page does NOT automatically pop up, then that means that you probably do not
have Javascript enabled. To enable it, click here.
