Gordon has a B. Sc. in Business Management from BYU. He has been an active with Lethbridge Community College and Alberta Agriculture in Farm Business Management Education Extension delivery for the past ten years. He is responsible for the Farm Business Management Education Extension program at Lethbridge Community College and recognizes the benefits of technology applications for agriculture. 

Gordon and his brother operate a "full blood/purebred" "replacement" cattle ranch in southwestern Alberta. He understands the importance of technology and its application on the farm. 

Gordon is an active member of the Pacific Northwest Farm Management Association and the National Farm & Ranch Business Management Association. Gordon is a member of the Provincial Coordinating and Advisory Committee to the Canada-Alberta Farm Business Management Program. 

Gordon’s areas of expertise include Machinery Economics, Precision Farming, Farm Accounting and Risk Management.
