Darryl Slingerland, P.Eng., is a Research and Development Engineer at the Agricultural Technology Centre. He has a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (with a computer minor) from the University of Calgary, graduating in 1992. He joined the Agtech Centre in September of 1994, as a Technical Aide. He moved up to an engineering position in April, 1996, and has been involved in a variety of projects since that time. He is currently the Coordinator of the Agricultural Research and Development Service (ARDS) program at the Centre.

Darryl has an agricultural background, having worked on a dairy and on a feedlot, as well as being part of a custom silaging team, all in Southern Alberta. He also has expertise in computer hardware and software.
