Brian Ludwig is from a mixed farm (grain, PMU, elk) from south-eastern
Saskatchewan. He has a B.S.A. and M.Sc. in Agriculture, is currently a
Professional Agrologist, a Certified Settler Consultant, a Microsoft Certified
Professional and a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and is working towards a B.Sc in
Computers and a Masters in Distance Education. Brian has over 12 years of
agriculture and computer training experience including 3 years as Associate Dean
of Agriculture and Computers with Southeast Regional College, several years with
SIAST - Agriculture Division, and 11 years of experience managing a private
training/consulting/research firm.
Currently, Brian is still managing his private training/consulting company,
works as a part-time instructor/course developer for SIAST, Agriculture
Division, Computer & Farm Management Section, and is a contractor with the
Farm Debt Mediation Service.
Brian's business, Ludwig Agresearch Consulting Ltd (also operates under the
names of Brian Ludwig & Associates, ATN Agriculture Training Network, and
CTO Computer Training Online), specializes in providing training courses to
producers on a variety of agriculture and computer related topics, providing
computer, management, and train the trainer courses to corporate clients,
developing computer-based CD-ROM training materials, developing web-based online
training courses and training-related web sites, providing financial consulting
services to producers, and providing a variety of programming & web-related
services. As a SIAST instructor/course developer, Brian is working with the
Agriculture Division in revising their existing farm management program and
developing innovative online-training programs including Farm Succession
Planning and Farm Accounting currently offered through the Schoolhouse and
through AIMS. Finally, as a contractor with Farm Debt Mediation Services, Brian
has assisted in delivering several AIDA presentations and will be working
directly with producers in financial difficulty.
This diverse background in both computers and agriculture has allowed Brian to
continually develop innovative services & products particularly in the
fields of training & agriculture on the internet.
