Round bales make a statement about the federal government's plans for the Canadian Wheat Board in a farmers field south of Southey, SK on Nov. 28. The federal government told western grain farmers Friday to continue planning as if a bill opening up wheat and barley sales in Western Canada will become law

Simply is the guy with the sign south of Southey a farmer who uses the CWB, a NDP shit disturber or a Acreage Union worker from Regina. Time to call out these idiots.
This is War guys theses idiots want to take your product as if it was theirs.
Time for the Gloves to come off. No one except a handful of Sask farmers believe in NFU. Call it what it is a bunch of NDP farmers who want us to be communist Russia.
Maybe we didn't plan that vote right should have asked for extra ballets for all involved and all should have voted.
But now they keep fighting back so lets expose the BS.
posted Dec 10, 2011 9:42
Sask, do you really believe a farmer put
up a slick banner like that all by
himself? A farmer working alone would take
a sheet or two of plywood and a spray can
to make a point. It's just the CWB
themselves making use of another one of
their idiot farmer pawns.

No thats my point the Useless media in Regina took the Photo its not a real farmer.
Read Bruce Johnstone article in leader post the idiot is so out of touch it hurts.
Or comments page with the Vancouver sun. THis is War.

Pars its time for individual farmers to speak up. Enough sitting and hopping the Feds will finally get it through. Its time to stand up for what we believe in. The Useless left does why cant the rest of us.

How hard would it be to sneak out and burn
the bales? A match or two is worth less
than the millions the board is spending,
but may be just as effective. I swear if I
was closer.

Talk of burning someone's bales...totally ridiculous. Civilized...NOT.

And again it applies here.......
Taken from a previous thread, thought it applies to this one as well.....
Good luck Parsley, no sarcasm intented. With the name calling, lack of diplomacy, lack of respect for the opposite sides opinion and position, emotional rants, you may have trouble finding what your looking for.
If we wanted to grow wheat, barley and durum we were forced to use a system of marketing that grain, no one "stole" it we simply lost control of it.
There is rhetoric on both sides of the argument. The pendulum on the pro-choice side has swung too far. The public needs to hear the facts not rhetoric.
I recall posting in a previous thread long ago not to hold our breath on the 08/2012 date, that it would be met with challenges. Also that if it is going to happen to make sure it is done right and not rammed through, they(Cons) have 4 years to accomplish it, but this is what happens when you rush things. I have found that when I take the extreme emotion out of decision making and base it on reason and facts I tend to make better choices.
Marketing freedom will come yet, but relax and use common sense and diplomacy, respect others opinions and views. Is that asking too much from a bunch of grown adults?

Over the years its become a subject never discussed publicly. 'For' people are open, 'Against' people are quiet.
WHY? Is it because we don't want to alienate landlords?
Once we were heretics, now "they" are fanatics?
I have no desire to go public now that it's unnecessary. Most of my landlords are business first people, but standing on a stump creates attention. I supported the partys and organizations I could. Future soundbites will be given by wheat commission directors etc. and not NFU types.
Sask3 I get pissed too. Our media exposure has always been zero. WHY?
We all have access to bales.

Parsley, I think the general public needs to see a "Did You Know" list same strategy as the CWB spin team uses. Makes it sound like fact coming right out of the box. The list should contain all the egregious, incompetant and rediculous things the board has done over the years. All unembellished and supportable. At the end if you want to get down to the board's level, which I wouldn't recommend. You could say the CWB costs western Canadian farmers $600 million a year. (That is easier to support with economic principals that the CWB's statements.)
posted Dec 10, 2011 13:07
Blackpowder, Your experience has been the same as mine. Even now I feel that expressing my views in the forum could cost me and alienate people. I am negotiating with the CWB for something now and it could bite me. Over the years I have had relatives, landlords and neighbors who absolutely, and unequivocally supported the CWB. Thats why I have made the comment that it is a religion.

Hey willy how are you today? I have had
grain confiscated by guys like this for my
entire farming career. I don't think
burning a few bales will put him out too
much cash relative to what he has stolen
from my farm by FORCED participation.
Which looks sillier willy? A guy stealing
grain, or a guy losing a few bales?
Every firefighter in small communities is a volunteer. Even if they are not in danger. They would have to stand around in the middle of the night to watch or leave their job to deal with BS like that.
Grow up
I get asked to explain some of the stuff that random farmers put out.
Would would your answer be?
Some people are stupid.

Come on guys! You think I am serious?
I've been on here a long time already,
and I have a sense of humour. I am
merely pointing out a few burnt bales
are worth less than the grain losses my
farm and yours have had, due to guys
like this stealing our grain for years.
If it was in poor taste, fine. but
relax, I'm not going to burn anyones
bales. lol
If I had bales and farmed by a highway,
I'd be willing to sign them up to the
good fight as a counter to the leftists.
I only have small squares though.

Don't burn the bales but out these idiots it's all our
future they want to crush. Yes I had a chance for
a extra, 5quarters and because of my stance I
lost them to a young guy with quiet protest. So
yes it happens and is like a religion. But we're
getting creamed by the left and some times
loosing something your really gaining.
So 5extra quarters would have been nice, oh well!
Shit happens!

Leave the disrespect for farmer's property to the
pro-single desk side. It's frustrating, but have
patience, it will soon be all a bad memory.

Extremely bothered that someone would even think about destroying someone elses property because of their stand on anything. Very hurtful and extremly counter productive.
Saddly we are concerned about our left wing neighbours straw bales... yet they STEAL our wheat and barley every day of the week, confiscate our money and grain... spend it to fight against us... and there is no moral outrage or conscience they have for us... or our feelings... or our property rights.
These Immoral 8 at the CWB Directors... are proud of what they are doing every day of the week... and will and are wasteing $10,000 per day (the equivelent of burning 500 bales a day) and they ARE bales paid for by ALL of our farms!
What do we do about this?
Minister Ritz thinks he can simply ignore this... and push through without a civil solution?
Everyone ups the anty... till there is violence and strife.
This is just really a bad deal... and I can see Goodale smirking and laughing at us right now.

Tom: If you lived in a country that literally took your property and never paid you anything for it, that is stealing. The problem is we lost control of it, we get paid for it, not what you may think it is worth, but you got paid. This is going to end.
There are places on this earth I would never want to live because of governments, here is not one of them. It is not perfect but is alot better than some alternatives. People risk their lives to get here. We have no idea what tyranny is. Thank God my ancestors chose Canada, a better place than where they came from. Most of the time I don't even lock my doors....... Welcome to Canada!!!
In retrospect Tom, had you been successful in winning a seat at the BODs table of the CWB, what......?
I would be in the same hot spot as Henry and Jeff were... and would have been required to do EXACTLY what they did.
I like the idea of burning bales... and have some I would gladly donate to the cause to burn.
We should keep a fire going until the end of the single desk... if an injunction is granted by the Courts against Ritz and the Freedom Loving people of Canada! I want the smoke to be seen from the International Space Station if our freedom is stopped with an court injunction.

Minister Ritz is aware of the misuse of farmers funds and so I would think is the judge that issued the original order if that judge is still sitting.
I agree why does this misuee ofyour and my money continue ? I asked the question weeks ago about when the wheat growers lawsuit would be heard and recieved no replies at all.

I believe that private property is private property be it wheat at a border crossing into North Dakota or Round Bales in a field in Sask.

MC, perhaps I was not clear...
The point was:
NOT to take liberties over others' property (to be clear DO NOT touch property[eg. bales] of others... it doesn't matter who it is)... but to sacrifice our own liberties to point out the injustice of the 8CWB directors who steal from us each day.

I agree tom don't burn the idiots bales but show who the idiot is and tell our side of the story the left spouts BS every day to point that people in city actually believe the idiots.

Just maybe, this is all Grade 2 booger flickin'. When I look at the good work done by other grower/commodity orgs. I think our day is coming very soon if we can follow some of their examples.
I'm told one procedure is - if any group or groups want to argue they are asked to leave the table. Certain groups with no "business" being there aren't even invited (NFU).
This would leave non-contributors like Burbert in the cold.
Canola has done one hell of a job SELLing itself to ALL. Some of you don't want to bother with wheat, fine.
Today, we flick boogers- tomorrow we pave! And an industry I would LIKE to feel pride in will pave over those whose only contribution has been to force equal mediocrity.
SO come on BURBERT give us some IDEAS you poor glass 1/2 empty soul!

Early this morning I posted the first reply to this thread. It was a complaint about the headline. My post apparently didn't register.
Since then a number of posters have gone into the realm of fanatics; and have shown a side of themselves that they should be solidly ashamed of.
Suffice it to say that those persons have done much more harm to the cause than they have ever done good. I will certainly distance myself from their thoughts, plans and future dealings with any of those criminally minded troublemakers who are intent on getting exactly what they want for themselves. God help yourself etc etc.

Actually you guys give the pro cwb side good ideas.
The pro-cwb side would burn those bales and then blame the other side.
They are using the scorched earth policy and doing it very well. Until they start looking forward and explaining to their supporters they fucked the cwb out of a tremendous opportunity.

It won't make sense until someone else thinks it up. I know what you are saying.
When what is left of the cwb decides to use your idea as their own, then it will be a good idea.
If oberg had taken the bull by the horns instead of calling some lawyers, the cwb could have had the 2012 crop priced at a profit for western canadian farmers as a christmas present.
This EXACTLY was my CWB Directors platform from 1998-08. The CWB could have been the clearing house that brought the buy and sell sides together in western Canada. They call this 'CLEAR' down under in Aussie land.
Clear works very well... and we need the new CWB to set up a 'Clear' system in Canada. If they did it well... they could end up with more business than they do today.
